I run Celestials even on toons that don't "need" them, though... gold, off-spec gear, there's usually a PvP piece or two that'd be an upgrade...

It would be interesting if there was a way to feed it info, though, reminders specific to each toon that can be set ("Remind me to run Tempest Keep on Toon 3 weekly" kind of stuff). Maybe in a future release.Rnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5003106972062679804.post-13012593916365234092014-04-23T22:58:43.527+01:002014-04-23T22:58:43.527+01:00I originally started using Saved Instances, but fo...I originally started using Saved Instances, but found I needed more detail than the addon provided. For instance, Warforged Seal shows how many Seals that you have on each character but not have you handed the quest in this week. Which characters need the Celestials, the answer now is that I do the Celestials on all, but this was not the case a few weeks ago, when I prioritised which characters most needed the Celestials for gear.

Essentially, Saved Instances is the motivation behind my spreadsheet.Bobhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15475673092257340904noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5003106972062679804.post-21729443627976456922014-04-23T19:14:05.432+01:002014-04-23T19:14:05.432+01:00Grind and fun aren't mutually exclusive... I&#...Grind and fun aren't mutually exclusive... I'm currently spending most of my time in a single-player RPG and a good portion of my time is spent collecting a resource for crafting potions that, most likely, I will never actually craft. Turns out I just like collecting, even in a single-player game that, soon enough, I will finish and uninstall. Ultimately, if you feel like grinding, you're doing what you want to do. That's my definition of fun, unlike some on Twitter who seem to believe that they're losing some "fun" because hunters won't have a taunt in WoD or others like Grumpy who feel they're having less fun because there's no VP gear to buy with tokens. If there was one thing I wish I could legislate it's that people stop mis-appropriating words and using them out of context as a form of attack dialogue. It's a clear sign of immaturity but unfortunately has the side effect of being something not easily ignored because it too easily leads toward a continuation of that usage. Hell, that happens regardless.

Anyway. Got off track there.

This won't replace your spreadsheet but might help supplement it (and in my case, kept me from having to start a spreadsheet in the first place):

http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/saved_instances

That add-on has saved me a ridiculous amount of grief in terms of remembering which toons have done which world bosses, wings of LFR, old raids, Warforged Seal weekly quests, etc... and it now tracks failed bonus rolls so you can have a general idea of which toons are more likely to hit a bonus next (that isn't actually influencing my rolls yet but I could see a situation where a toon has had 10+ misses and I'll opt to skip a bonus roll on a boss with a ring upgrade when the next boss drops a weapon). HIGHLY recommended. Even shows all my toons across serverr, although unfortunately not my second account toons. The only thing it's missing for me is daily profession cooldown tracking... and now that I think about it, I should make sure it doesn't already have that option. Still, I've been doing the cooldowns for so long that it's on autopilot at this point, I don't really need external tracking.Rnoreply@blogger.com
